Content Guidelines

What we publish, how we rate it, and the rules for everything you post — comments, reviews, and reports. These standards keep BlinkFlix cinematic, safe, and store-compliant.

Our rating system

Every title carries an age rating. Ratings drive what each account can see — 18+ titles are gated behind verification and never returned to under-age users.

16+Teen — mild mature themes

Most BlinkFlix dramas. May contain stylised romance, infrequent mild language, emotional conflict, and non-graphic suggestive moments. No explicit content.

18+Adult — strong mature themes

Age-gated titles. Stronger suggestive themes, intense violence, or mature subject matter. Gated behind 18+ verification and never shown to under-age accounts.

What we allow

  • Scripted dramatic storytelling — romance, revenge, family, fantasy.
  • Stylised conflict and emotional intensity appropriate to the rating.
  • Suggestive themes handled with cinematic restraint — implied, never explicit.

What we never allow

  • Sexual content involving minors, in any form. Zero tolerance.
  • Explicit pornographic content, nudity, or graphic sexual acts.
  • Real-world hate, harassment, or incitement to violence.
  • Content unlawful in the markets where a title is shown.
Regional handling: a title may be allowed, age-gated, or blocked per country. "Blocked" means the title is never returned in that country — users cannot see it at all.

Community rules

These apply to everything you post — comments, reviews, and reports (user-generated content).

Be real. Talk about the story, the twists, the characters.
Use spoiler tags for big reveals.
Report content that breaks these rules.
No harassment, hate speech, or threats.
No spam, scams, or off-platform promotion.
No sexual content, doxxing, or illegal material.

Reporting & enforcement

Reviews are moderated before they appear; comments are published immediately and moderated after the fact. You can report content or block other users at any time from the in-app menus. We may remove content, limit its reach, or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we act faster on high-harm reports.

Illegal material (such as content sexualising minors) is removed and escalated to the relevant authorities where required. Copyright complaints are handled under our Copyright & Infringement page.

If you think we got a decision wrong, you can appeal from the notification or by contacting support@blinkflix.tv. We review appeals and respond.
